Mike Danubio currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources at the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Sports Management (FSM) where he has the opportunity to set the people strategy for one of the most recognizable and successful sports franchises in the world. His pathway to his current profession took a circuitous route through a career that started as an accountant in the audit practice of professional services firm Deloitte & Touche.  As a “recovering CPA”, Mike is passionate about people and owes his success to building and maintaining strong and authentic relationships and forming genuine connections with teammates and colleagues across all levels and employment types. Much of his focus over the course of his HR career has been in the areas of talent acquisition, succession planning and performance management, learning and development, DE&I, rewards and recognition, and employee culture and engagement. Currently in his eleventh season with the Red Sox and FSM, Mike has played a key role in leading an HR transformation that positions the people function as a strategic partner offering contemporary solutions to both business and baseball operations that increase employee engagement and growth.
